After an EP and some 30 gigs, MEDICIS is back with a debut album entitled WHERE WE DIVE, released in March 2025.

It tells the story of a work of art that comes to life in a museum and faces up to the questions of its existence. Each track can be interpreted as a mirror of our daily lives and of what society imposes on us: a malaise that raises the big questions, those that make and unmake us.

This concept-album is the fruit of intense artistic introspection, in which the band's musicians drew on what was deepest within them: the result is this resolutely rock music, which explores textures we'd call post-rock but which doesn't shy away from stoner and noise.

Recorded live at Garage Hermétique with Pierre Le Gac.

MEDICIS have a sound palette all their own, seeking out sonic textures on both pedalboards and keyboards, with broken cymbals or even screaming into guitar pickups. There are also three lead singers, each with his or her own vocal identity to better serve the songs.

On stage, you can feel all the emotional energy of the four friends, marked by perfectly mastered playing intensities: power, riffs and soaring turns.

MEDICIS is supported by Quai M and its director Benoît Bénazet.

The album was presented and widely acclaimed at Bars en Trans 2024 at the Salle de la Cité in Rennes. The release was well received, with a full house at Quai M for the first Release Party, and a live broadcast on France Inter's Côté Club program (airing April 24) - most listened radio in France.
